Friday Engineers ;) :P :D

"Macha, tomorrow it's a Friday" said a friend even before I woke up from the bed on a lazy Thursday morning. When the whole world will be busy in the middle of week trying to finish off the targets they set, software engineers' target is to work till Thursday and reach the D-Day that is Friday."Oh Thank god!! finally weekend is here" I replied and continued "Maga this time we must do something" Oh come on!! every week we plan for something and that something that we have no idea about will go without executing. Why are these techies so excited about the weekend?? Do they work day and night in the weekdays?? Are they so tired of their jobs  ?? Yeah, why not they must be tired!! They (Most of them) will have to travel in cabs to office provided by the company or ride a bike all the way to office, have a cup of tea before they start work, they must open Facebook or else who responds to the notifications they get and it's a duty of them to know who is doing what? ? They must see twitter to make sure what's happening around the world. By the time they do all this they get a ping from manager asking for the status. "Oh this guy has no work apart from asking me the status, I do everything and he will just do excel job but still has an authority over me" murmurs Rakesh another techie in Bangalore and I have heard it from many. After all managers are paid to do this or else they will be fired but people never stop blaming them until they become one! See these guys are always ready with some answer to bluff their managers. If they have not at all started the work they would say they are going through requirements and if they have just started going through requirements they would say they are finding a workaround for a difficult scenario. Situations differ and the answers suit the way as per situations.Until and unless he decides to work, he has sufficient number of reasons to bluff everyone. Okay I understand few of them will have some tedious job and work hard even in IT but I bet not many would really have difficult job when compared to the farmers who does all the hard work out in the field or a sales guy who go all around the world explaining about his products in order to achieve his target. But still software engineers are tired and they wait like hell for the Friday the so called D-Day of techies.

                  There are various reasons why they do celebrate Fridays in every office and the first comes that they are addicted. Yes, Friday is an addiction to many. They start counting the days from the first day of the week i.e Monday even if they know it's five days and nothing is going to change but work all the five days. People who maintain low profile and have serious looks all the weekdays will go surprisingly active and relaxed on a Friday. Some offices maintain and make it more colorful on Fridays allowing employees to go completely casual and colorful. Boys pick the funky and stylish Ts with the quotes on them showcasing their interests and Girls pick their best from their wardrobes to shine all the day.I would like to quote an incident from years before.One of my friend had been to an high profile meeting with our CEO along with few directors and his T shirt read "N O F C U K I N G W O R R I E S".Come on you gotta worry when you have a CEO and the directors shooting all the irrelevant questions at you expecting to make the impossible the possible. Finally my friend gets the attention of the people at meeting and the CEO compliments him for the T shirt !! Yeah it's the Friday gift!! even the CEO will be relaxed on a Friday. I am not sure if the top management observe this or not. No way one can find techies working late on Fridays (there are exceptions). Either they push the work to Monday or they finish the work early. Friday is the shortest day in the week in offices and If I am right, Friday is also the longest day in a week but not in office. Don't even ask me what they will do on a Friday evening!! They pick their plans and they pick their places for a Friday. Saturday will also be the same good and here comes the Sunday bringing you the Monday fever. It starts even before Monday has arrived. As the evening sets, the feeling intensifies more."Monday blues" and the internet is very friendly.One can find huge number of memes on Monday Blues in internet. Whats app groups are mostly in active on a Monday morning and people tend to look more serious and more stressed. A jobless survey says "It will be almost 11.15 AM when a techie smiles on a Monday for the first time" .I am not sure how credible the fact is but I read this when I tried to read more about Monday Blues. Apart from all this stupid things I have written, there are some serious stuffs done by techies. There are some interesting things developed by them contributing to world in becoming more smart. The world is changing and it has been very tough for everyone to catch up with speed it is changing and IT is also a reason for it. Not always they bluff, not always they play around but they do work hard when it is required.Even from villages to urban places software plays an active role in everyone's life. Be it a mobile or a computer, software has a role to play in everything. Let me stop continuing to blabber more and end this here. Have a happy weekend ;) :P :D
